Last year the TWU took in $79,257,632.

Of that dues made up only $37,469,957 ($20,351,871 was collected then disbursed to locals.

Other sources made up the remaining $41,787,675.

So the TWU makes more off their other endeavors than they do off the members.

I guess the TWU looks at us like a side job.

Another interesting point is that the TWU recieved over $80,000 for the LTD insurance that they sell to the members. The Locals which do a lot of the legwork trackning down new hires and helping members with claims get none of this $80,000.


Did your income go up in 2003? The TWUs did, by almost $11 million!-($10,992059)

Lets see, the TWU money is increasing funds to represent us and Amfa is begging for money from associate members and collecting special assessments from some of the regular Members. It seems a no brainier to me!!!



You have to wonder; If I was an organizer I have to wonder about the news lately about all the outsourcing going on at the Airlines Amfa represents? With 11,000 members on the street how could I believe it would be any different at AA? How can I look in the eyes of my fellow
Brother or Sister and ask them to vote for Amfa knowing he has a high probability of being laid off with the track record they have? After all Amfa has come out openly saying the scope clause is worthless at AA.

Ok so the AMFA has made loans against future dues. The TWU does the same, in fact they have millions in loans out to several Locals. Those loans, most of which are for real estate, are paid for with future dues and when the loans are paid off the real estate becomes the property of the International.

cio, you remain ignorant. How has this increase in funds represented our profession? Come on tell us. Where were the twu sponsored rallys against outsourcing? Where was the twu's increase financial budget applied to having our full revote? Where was the twu's financial increase applied to even keeping the overnight cabin cleaners?

Your empty support of the twu is what I would consider a no brainer.

Oops, I forgot. Maybe this monetary increase in the twu purse was spent on coffins to parade around the streets of Tulsa.
