Hey this would be an org vote, and if you have 1500 on furlough how come they are hiring off the streets?

Why are they hiring off the street? Well when those folks got laid off most were at top pay but if they take a call back and its after 90 days they go back to 9.59hr! Not many will take that slap in the face and those that would they must really be desperate. I for one would not take a recall and would tell the company to shove it! What the company loves is they can hire McDonalds Wal Mart style help and the IAM Reps sit back relaxing from there silence and keep counting there 100,000 plus a year money.

Go to the meetings if you wish , ask questions & see if you get strait answers! I doubt it. Folks, they want to contract out your jobs. What do you think will happen if you have no union ?
I am not on here to tell any one what to do or not to do. You have to do what you feel is best for you & your family. So make sure you know what you are doing.
Was talking to one of our committe men yesterday & he said we have some where around 1500 on furlough & we have NEVER had a 50% turn out for a vote.(Except org vote to have a union)

I really hate to say this but the truth is that the IAM has secured for you until at least 2014 NOTHING except the worse in everything. And its contract is the bottom of the heap for fleet service employees no matter if you are talking about union contracts or non union situations like at Delta or Continental.

Everything your company wanted it took. Don't you remember when everyone was so irate about the contract that the IAM finally told us by letter that 'it had a gun to the head and a knife to the back'. Effectively saying they were powerless [only true thing they said]. Hell, the CLT committe even admitted in their question and answer that it was the company that offered to include BDL and PVD in class one's. There are now only 11 stations not contracted out. The second class cities are basically contracted out dues payers as the IAM figured out a way to place the MDA contract on the second class employees, thus making them "Jerry's Kids".

Yet ALL fleet service workers got to pay $500 a year for the IAM's 'stuck in bankruptcy contract' situation for up to 6 or so more years! Sorry, just not worth it man. Don't let the IAM keep you stuck in time!

Ironically, your union is taking up to $50 a month from your check but your company has added at least $50 in your check over the past 2 or 3 months. In some cases it has added $100 extra. That extra money isn't anything the IAM negotiated.
Your IAM representation sucks so bad that your company is paying your union dues for you.

Go ahead Coach read up on both sides, you should be afraid not to sign a card. There is multitudes of opportunity right now! Should add that one to your play book! All of the Fleet service employees deserve to win. You can end that losing streak!!! YOU HAVE ALL LOST WAY TOO MUCH! Your choice to change it now or wait and continue whats been dished out and stuffed down your throats. Just take a minute to look into what is really available. Then decide You may by surprised. TWU is striving to help and better all f/s employees. We all have the right to VOTE and WE MUST USE IT!
