WASHINGTON, June 16 (Reuters) - House Republican Leader Tom DeLay is paying legal bills with the help of donations from fellow lawmakers and energy, tobacco and airline companies, according to financial disclosure forms released on Monday.

Among the bigger contributors to DeLay''s fund in 2002 were AMR Corp.''s (NYSE:AMR - News) American Airlines, which donated $5,000

So what surprises you about that? Don Carty was a Bush fund raiser in his zip code. And his conservative (GOP) attitude about the privilidges of leadership cost him his job.

A better question would be, have AA''s employees gotten any benefits from this investement? Or was this supposed to be pre-pay installment for changes to labor laws?

Actually, Carty''s stupidity and mismanagement are Democratic trademarks.
 
Yea he was so stupid that he pocketed an additional $9 million and $79k a year for pocket change.

I wish I could be as stupid and screw myself like that.
