One point made on a.net is about savings transactions costs.
Wonder if US will follow. Would QIK/SHARES even have the ability to support such a thing?

Technology aside (b/c we all know that is something entirely different) I dont see why it would be too difficult to collect the fee in qik to be associated with the dm profile such as status purchase.

I bet US Airways would actually make more money with the fee's than without. Until at least 1 more major follows the United path, I don't think US Airways will match.

You make more money over time charging per bag in almost all cases. The only reason you collect the cash up front is to stockpile cash through the winter, to make sure you survive to the spring/summer travel season.
