Ual Vs Us Iam Agreements

Ask your Negotiating Committee that question.

And how long has the Ramp at UAL been organized?
Probably over 30 years or more, PCE about 10 years.

More power and more clout. And your group still could have voted no.

Go ask your PHL reps what happened.

The PHL reps as are the AGC's are M.I.A.
Uncle Al has them in his back pocket

The problem is and always has been the iam. Those that keep believing in the iam are committing suicide, and don't even realize it. Would someone with the know how please start the proceedings to oust the iam? How much destruction is the iam going to be allowed to do before those that keep following them figure out that the iam's interest isn't in doing what's best for the ramp? Get rid of them now before things get any worse.

Actually, UA PCE began negotiations for their initial contract AFTER US fleet began, yet brought their contract in BEFORE US fleet did. The contracts were ratified during the same time frame, though.

Let's try the question, rather than the sideshow distraction.

Why did D141 use markedly different tactics at UA (like the strike preparation Canale describes in detail in the latest Messenger) than at US?

Not the AGC's - they don't make decisions at D141.

The executives.

Because they didn't have to. US AIRWAYS fleet were and are easy. And for the record, the contract before this one was pushed through by the small stations NOT the hubs because the small stations took the artificial bait now known as MDA.

Not that it matters at this point anyways because I actually agree with 700 regarding this thread.....the members voted in this contract and figuratively 'shook hands' with management.....that made it an acceptable deal even though the 'price' wasn't negotiated at all.

Sooooo, all that solidarity and 'an injury to one is an injury to all' is bull$^&t?

Say it ain't so!

FWIW, a few small stations saw MDA for what it was and voted no.

And the IAM knew what MDA was; that was why they wouldn't let anybody from a small station anywhere near an NC.

With all the Union diplomacy and fairness, company included, when would it be a good time to step back and realize that its not working.
A possible solution would be to utilize one union without classifications for all airports for the new airline.
