The pension issue is decided. Is that enough of a reason to strike!

Or will the contract abbrogation be the end all?

United is going for all they can get. No need to stop yet.

.

.

Two options

1. Contract is thrown out. Better than 50% chance at this point in time.

2. Since Amfa is broke, they negotiate a provision to pay amfa national and legal council in exchange to bring back the final offer from United!!!!

Taken right from the twu strategy guide no doubt.
Kind of like jim littles "or else" statement

So CIO, what is the TWU's excuse for our lousy concessions deal. The TWU supposedly has millions in the bank and yet AA TWU members have the worst contract in the industry, except for US AIR,that is.

Who knows, they may even catch up to AA with the concessions!

The fact is that our loss of Holiday pay more than covers any pension contributions. With that one "Little" concession we lost around $5000.

Two options:

1. Get cio a brain transplant so he can stand up for himself in person when he's not babbling incoherantly behind his alias on a keyboard.

2. Donate any available foreskin as neck skin graphs to match what nature has given him from birth on his mellon.

You know hackman, your posts are disgusting! You really are a heartless individual aren't you. Thank God, we don't have people like you representing us at AA!

Not half as disgusting as the lies he constantly continues to spout about everything and anything concerning AMFA or the people in it. He's the worst habitual liar I have ever witnessed. I was trying to make a cio joke, I guess I tried too hard, its not that difficult really.

LSMHSS, you have much worse representing you now than any off color joke I made here. You twu bubba's followed a known felon in his chants of calling your own coworkers "scabs".... when they are far, far from it. Team twu has even welcomed the scabs into your union with open arms.

FYI, much worse twu incidents will soon come out. So if I were you LSMHSS, I'd shut my mouth right now, or your going to be looking for somewhere to hide. 😉

Folks, I believe somehow labor must make a stand here and now.

Otherwise you'll have a long-term problem for the remainder of your career.

A strike may not be the answer. But that is why you have leaders.

Time to lead.

Unfortunately, the TWU already took a stand back in 1983.

They started to give away the store, and have continued to do so.

What good is the TWU. The way they have treated their members over the past 20 or so years, you should dump them and save your dues. You probably would not take as big of cuts if you did not have them. Try going without a union.

All you people shamelessly glued to your computer screeens, hoping to see news of a strike at United. How pathetic.

Here's a news flash. It's not going to happen. So don't hold your breath. (On second thought, maybe you should hold your breath.)

Here are 2 articles to suck on for a while:

article 1

article 2

Note the following quotes:

"The Machinists' union said recent progress pointed to a likely agreement by the time the trial ends next week, which would avert the need for a ruling likely to carry grave consequences for both the airline and its workers.

"The only place this is going to get resolved is at the bargaining table, not in the courtroom," said Randy Canale, president of IAM District 141, representing 20,000 United baggage handlers and ramp and public-contact workers."

and:

"An AMFA member who observed the talks at a hotel said the two sides had exchanged new offers and appeared close to an agreement. "I think it's coming to a conclusion at this point," said Terry O'Rourke, a San Francisco-based mechanic."

So sorry. Time for you all to find another train wreck to gawk at.

For all you "strike" voters (who happen to not work at UAL), I guess it looks like we didn't have the GUTS to do it. So who's it gonna be? Who is going to show us how to shut down their company, get in line for unemployment, and show us how striking yourself out of work is a good idea? Step right up! 🙂
