CAE Signs Tentative Simulator Deal With US Airways

WASHINGTON (Aviation Daily) - CAE signed a tentative deal with US Airways to deliver two full-flight simulators -- one for the Bombardier CRJ200 and another for the Embraer 170.

US Airways is slated to take delivery of the CRJ200 simulator next spring, followed by the Embraer 170 equipment in August. CAE expects to reach a final agreement that includes financing terms with the airline in about 30 days.

FAA and Europe's Joint Aviation Authorities recently qualified the Embraer 170 simulator at interim Level C, with Level D approval expected within a year once final aircraft performance data are available.

PIT & CLT TRAINING CENTERS ??? DOES THE EAGLE CONTRACT FOR MAA BECOME A PLAYER IF MAA IS BASED IN PIT AND THE SIM IS BASED IN CLT?
WHAT ARE THE COSTS OF OUT-OF-BASE TRAINING VS IN-BASE TRAINING?
