I got some really good news today! If I go ahead and retire from US Airways as planned at age 55 with 35 years service .... I WILL qualify for food stamps! This is exciting news ... this may be doable after all!

Here's my results ..... "Based on your information the estimated monthly SNAP benefit (food stamps) for your income and household size is $140 per month."

Sad but true ......

This should be a wake up call for you young folks ..... as soon as this economy picks up start looking! This includes everyone .... including Express pilots.

I already knew that buddy. The same goes for me with 34 years at age 57 in New York State. I guess we should just go for it and Join the Crowd, just use the system like everone else. Can't wait to hand my food stamps to the cashier at Wegmans.

I had a 3 year Express pilot tell me his family qualifies now ... ?

Oh, you're right ... what was I thinking ... I forgot only public sector employees can retire at age 50 on 80% of their salary.

Tomorrow night the president is going a announce they are printing more money and will be sending it to states like CA, NY and MI to guarantee unfunded state pensions. Which means my frozen PBGC dollars will be worth less???

clue me in??? I am there soon to right there with you????

Jerry Glass and friends pocketed my pension. The BK judge cut my pay. Paul Ryan wants my house, to replace the SS contributions Iv made over the past 40 years, that he and congress gave away for earmarks and welfare .....

The pension and its assets were transferred to the PBGC, the company did not get the funds.

And yes the Judge did impose an emergency pay cut, but you voted in the CBA that contained concessions.

I am far from pro-company as I was on the NC for M&R, but dont let the facts get in your way.

Wolf, Gangwal, and company shoveled money out the back door, to friends and themselves, as they drove the company into BK. Who's to say that wasn't our pension money, or at least any hope of maintaining a pension plan. Kind of like the General fund. A big cookie jar! Get what you can until you get caught or it runs out! They certainly did not attempt to run the airline for profitably.

.... and I voted no. So I guess you're blaming the union for the yes vote? ...... Maybe you're right, the unions have done nothing for us. 🙄

Please provide the proof of your false allegations.

I blame the membership for ratifying a POS CBA.

I held the votes for M&R in ATL and CLT and I voted no and told everyone how I voted as a member of the NC.
