US-Airways-efforts-to-improve-service-pay-off

Service gets better when you take vacations and days off. You are the most negative person I've ever seen. Go work at the DMV, you would fit in there.

Nope quite the contrary. I'm a very positive person with a bright outlook on life. I simply don't like to be fed garbage and have smoke blown up my ass. I see the real deal for what it is. If you think I'm the most negative person great. Use the ignore feature and you'll never have to endure the truth from Debbie ever again. In your eyes from every single post US and it's current management team can do no wrong. It's the employees not management, that seems to be your cry over and over and over. Maybe I'll put YOU on ignore. Most ignore you here anyway. Keep flying upside down as you must receive your clarity that way. All that blood to the head isn't good. Have a smashing day and enjoy that weather. 😉

You got it right girl... this MGMT team is a mess ... no clue.
the list is endless.

by the way on the list of what they don't have..
why no screens in the gates with Standby list like DL?
Why no powerports? and work stations Like SWA? in the boarding areas?
Why is the shuttle in LGA boarding area a mess and all the plugs don't work?

that is just a few of the thousands of low cost items this MGMT team overlooks looking at their spread sheets.

You can dress it up and run a better airline on the backs of your employees but US is and will remain for as far I can see a Hokie Pokie, Hodge Podge chitty chitty bang bang airline. Slip covered, spray painted and well ya all get the point. Improvements are needed for the business traveller as US is still LIGHTYEARS behind their competition and the employees are treated like AEROFLOT. No wait, they are treated better.
Love It! ChittyChittyBangBang pretty much IS an ACCURATE description of the Boeing Fleet.......especially those relic 767's. And the 757 isn't much of an improvement. Comparing US to Aeroflot...........cheers! Life in a Labor Camp (Gulag) isn't much different wherever You go. Travelpro You are the funniest with your posts! Love Your willingness to CALL OUT BS whenever/wherever You see it.........and for the Most part You are SPOT ON. (Although the " Koolaid Kid" get highly emotional and defensive <lol>).

The 737-300's namely need to go as for the narrowbody BUT when I see chitty chitty bang bang 767's off of routes like ATH then we'll take the co. a little serious. I swear that plane pulls into the gate in ATH and farts and gasps. Talk about horrid. 🙄

Aww now C'mon just because those 767's were around since the Wright Brothers doesn't mean they're Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Hell they put new seats in! What do you expect from the flying trailer park?

US Airways is on my blacklist. Unfortunately their tickets pop up always as the cheapest. It's like a curse; they undercut every airline on the price factor. But I will stand behind my principle and make sure that US never gets any of my money. I will accrue United miles with UA, CO and LH. US Airways is a very hostile company to both passengers and employees (at least on the AWA side of things). They may have improved slightly in customer perception rankings, but this is mostly due to beating it out of their workforce via a hostile work environment, and beating happiness (THE AWA WAY) into them. If you don't take their dose of AWA medicine, well, you are out of there.

I recently exchanged stories with an old friend who happens to work for AA. I'll tell you, he was surprised to see how (especially the west) puts up with these working conditions. I told him stories of what I had seen happening to other flight attendants as well as my own. Like going through my supervisors unsuccessful attempt to write me up for "stealing company property" when she noticed that I had put a seal on my manual. Putting company property on company property is theft, I guess if you get really creative as a supervisor and want to make something out of nothing. Needless to say that after a shouting match between my union rep over the phone with that supervisor and once HR got involved in that one, that attempt was quickly dropped. It is stories like flight attendants getting fired, for missing a text message via SBS that stated that he needed to go in for drug testing. Problem was that I uncovered later that the AWA policy, as opposed to the policy covering East flight attendants regarding CBS messages, did not have any reference about any obligation to read SBS messages on the AWA policies. You know they have a set of separate rules for a lot of policies for east and west flight attendants in the IEM. Thanks to that finding that little mistake that AWA (excuse me US Airways) did on the written policy, that F/A got his job back, and US finally admitted the F/up, therefor changing the way they now do Mandatory Drug testing notifications. For years, AWA had been doing it like this, and I am curious how many others lost their jobs due to something that was not even a requirement - "reading SBS messages." I'll tell ya, the sh...t that AWA would pull out of their a,,,ses was amazing.
"While AA has it's own share of inhouse problems, nothing tops the draconianism at US(AWA)," my friends words.

So, again, I would not fly a company that does the things that it does to its employees. Almost 13 years without a contract on the AWA side. Last contact ratified in 1999. My friend from AA was stunned.

I will pay 20 or 50 bux more at another airline to avoid giving them that money. And for as long as I live, I will make my "negative" opinion about the company be known through this forum and word of mouth.

Perhaps, just perhaps, one day employees will be treated like counterparts, for instance at Southwest. Everyone that I have known, that works for LUV, including former colleagues of US Airways that are now at LUV, say that the difference is night and day. SW of course is a company that values its employees. Kudos on them.

What amazes me is your post is spot on yet it received three negative marks. Really? Speak up for those of you that find the last post to be wrong. Talk about a bunch of company kiss asses here.

They are replacing the old Boeings now you know.

We've known that for quite some time. No news there.

What I'd like to know is, when is the company planning to paint the rest of the fleet (east) and when are they going to remove the America West livery from the interiors of the west fleet including the Express carriers?????

Six years seems long enough for me. <_<

I can name two of them, and one is retired AWE....

Service gets better when you have "happy" and engaged employees".

We're not happy because we get blown off constantly.

I have a bet for you.... 😀

Let's change roles. I'll do your job for 4 days....and you do mine for 4 days. And I get to pick the trip....🙂

And I mean the whole shebang. You get trained....and wear the uniform.....wings and all.

Can't do that because you don't really work here?????

LOVE the Video! Almost 'pissed' myself. Just can't decide SHOULD the F/A's break into this theme Song BEFORE the Safety Demo or After? Oh, that's right the 767 does have a video display.......I guess it would make a GRREAT intro or a taxi-out video to let everyone know what they are in for. The video clip was great!
