Old News...

Not exactly, this signals the approval and the ability to starts selling tickets as such. The old news was the application to codeshare, which, yes, occurred a few months ago.

On a related note, I believe a codeshare is still pending with NZ and has been for quite some time.

From the press release:

The 10 codeshared routes available through Zurich are as follows:

Geneva, Switzerland (GVA)
Nice, France (NCE)
Athens, Greece (ATH)
Vienna, Austria (VIE)
Dusseldorf, Germany (DUS)
Hanover, Germany (HAJ)
Nuremberg, Germany (NUE)
Stuttgart, Germany (STR)
Luxembourg (LUX)
Bucharest, Hungary (OTP)

Did anyone else notice when Bucharest moved from Romania to Hungary?

Wait....I'm legitamately confused and want to know:

Is the codeshare to Bucharest, Romania or Budapest, Hungary???

OTP I believe is the airport code for Bucharest, Romania.

Maybe they were trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone: They will have code-share to both Budapest and Bucharest, this way they mention both in one line.

Or, maybe the corp. comm. dept. is managed by a Hungarian who still cannot get over the treaty of Trianon.

Or the press release was written by the same people who issue internal newletters and training documents in which there is no disctinction between "who's"/"whose" and "it's"/"its". Or the IT person who wrote "Clear All Standby's?" into QIK.

If only a lack of proofreading skills were the Sand Castle's biggest problem.
