last i heard the airline had sheriff and deputies tell the employees to go home due to hangar closing and that was done during Seigel's tenure. dont know if usair still does anything in it or not though

USAIRWAYS did have the police on hand that morning the hanger closed in TPA,and USAIRWAYS does not have the hanger any longer and is not used by anyone. :down:

TPA Base (Hangar) Maintenance ceased to exist in November of 2002...DL's Maintenance in TPA followed suit this year.

The TPA hangar no longer belong to US Airways.

TPA International is looking for a tenant for the
facility with very little luck.

You can see pictures of the hangar on the TPA Internation
Airport website under Real Estate.
