Well this has been so long ago, but are we ever going to see the answers from Boy Wonder? I know the questions I asked are no longer valid and I have NEW questions to ask of our Fearless Leader.

Come on give the guy a break - you have no idea how long it takes to count the millions he has plundered from this company.

Sorry to generalise, however I see him with a similar pattern to the past CEO's. .
Sorry, IMHO...I calls it the ways I sees it.

All questions must first be refered to the legal beagles and their reply will be: "cost neutral."

Parker saved US Airway's collective A*S*S. (without America West (or similar), US Airways would have run out of cash and gone the way of IAir.)

Tell me this, is there any non-union employee that hasn't plundered (in your eyes)?

I can name a few Employees from HDQ that I respect. Others such as CEO's that LIE, I have no use for.

I know the contract is not what it needs to be at this time. But the fact is, without his business savy, US would cease to exist today. (nor would it without the employee sacrafices) I think being patient right now and letting everything playout, is prudent at this time. Money will come later if you can look at the long term. My two cents.

Well then Doug should have looked long term. Only a small amount of the Options he exercised were about to expire, but he made it sound like they were all going to expire. So who took the money? Only thing he hasnt done yet is Run like all the others.

Hmmmm I didn't know that our "friend" Doug was THE "1" who put this merger together and saved anyone. 🙄

Is there a forum for those who don't share the pessimistic, defeatist, liberal, left-wing, eternal-victim, management-doesn't earn-money,-they-steal-it, crybaby outlook on everything and everybody?

You criticize motives because you can't legitimately criticize actions and you certainly can't criticize results. No one stole a dime from any of you, you freely gave it away so that you can keep the job you love to bit*ch about.

The contract that's here is the one that was negotiated and ratified. If you don't like it, negotiate a better one. Failing that, go on strike. Still too much to bear, take a hike.

Please, just stop the incessant WHINING!

id have tosay that the chances are that there wont be any answers as i thought that it would havebeen made by now its been what an eternity of a life time since they were posted.

Having asked him questions face to face on several occasions I can tell you he has earned the title "King Of I'll Get Back To You". But he never does.

Fair enough. I'm just glad to hear it's not 'everyone'.

Well if you look at the Q2 profit you'll note that something like 240 million of it came from the old US East. So your point is debatable. As is the entire aquisition issue.

As for DP answering the questions posed, my suspicion is that with all of the merger stuff going on it ended up on the back burner. We still see the pattern of effective listening with precious little response, although it is improving slowly. Look for something soon.
Look PB, when I said US Airways would have run out of cash, that's what I meant. Point isn't debatable. It's just fact.

From the Boyd Group Monday Morning Hot Flash - September 25, 2006 - United Is Now "Officially" For Sale

"The HP/US Deal - A Non-Overlapping Asset Buy. Not A Merger of Two Global Carriers. It's important to point out that the America West purchase of US Airways is galaxies away from the types of major carrier mergers such as that contemplated by the folks at the top of United. US Airways was essentially an East Coast cadaver, and America West bought it, with the goal of tying the two systems together. Not much overlap. Actually, employees of the former US Airways should have votive candles lit in front of images of Doug Parker. If HP had not decided to take a chance buying an airline system on the other side of the continent, unemployment lines would be a lot longer today in Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Washington, and Philadelphia."
