Washington post says Boeing used bad parts

US does plenty of business with Boeing.

US and Boeing had their spat back in the late 90s when US canceled a large order for 737s and 757s and Wolf when with the Airbus planes.

And Boeing sued US and got a huge penalty from US, this was way before the allegations were made against Boeing for bad parts, and the FAA and other federal agencies all ready investigated this claim and could not substantiate it.

The spat had a great deal to do with the aftermath of the flight 427 crash. US did not forgive Boeing for trying to blame the crash on the pilots.
