Harrahs has bought the Lagoon...they are going to bulldose the dump, build an up scale hotel with slots and or offer a river boat to the track and slots down to chester casino & racetrack...sorry to report but they will not offer a crew rate...now that the crew rooms will be closed for crew's to sleep in ...guess it's time to pony up for a crash pad...I can see it now... crews will be crashin in the horse barn...fresh hay for 75.00 a week...what's that smell

Things are going to get stickier!

Could you please post a link to the official press release regarding this transaction?

Well it seems that the Philly area will get two casino's that will be about two miles apart along the delaware river. The Mashantuckets casino will be south of center city in the Nicetown neighborhood and the sugarhouse's proposed casion will be built to the north at the site of an old sugarplant in the fishtown neighborhood. I don't know HOW that deals with the lagoon when it's NOWHERE near these sites. The third casino/gambeling location is at a racetrack. So how can this Lagoon rumor be true?

It's probably an extension of this:

It was the back door way for Philadelphia to get 3 casinos - really 4 if you include Philadelphia Park.
