Good day Gents and Ladies,

We had a Intermediate gearbox chip light just before the shoreline and I set down at the Musquodoboit shopping area at about 8:40 yesterday morning. After the engineer arrived and checked the plug, we ran her again to find that she had been making a bit of metal.

Had a spare put on and we were home in YHZ by late afternoon.

Nice to see all was well but it just isn't fair, if that would have been my Sea King they would have gone on and on in the news about how many other Sea Kings have had problems etc...... I was amazed the news didn't make the connection between the S61N and Sea King.

Vortex Ring, we tried telling the media we were the military but our machine's so much prettier than yours they wouldn't believe us. 😀

All kidding aside, Rotorhead did a fine job. Like a good maritimer he found a site 100 yards from a pub!

Bladestrike you are right, besides saying that big 61N is like a Sea King is like saying that a 1963 chevy half ton is the same as the 1985 truck, yes but no.

The Marines are indeed still here. I haven't had time to chase the guys down I am on course on Halifax side till next week. I'll keep trying and call you when we can see them. Some boys saw them land several days ago looking like a popsicle apparently, neat.
