A man who criticized President Donald Trump’s immigration policies in the name of progressive Christianity was killed last week by an undocumented immigrant who avoided deportation by hiding in a local “sanctuary church.”

Sean Buchanan, a father of five from Colorado Springs, was driving his motorcycle on Highway 83 when Miguel Ramirez Valiente swerved into his lane and killed him. The immigrant was charged with reckless driving with a revoked license.

Court records suggest Ramirez had yet to fulfill a sentence for drunken driving when the crash happened late last week.

He was sentenced to a year of probation in August 2018 after pleading guilty to driving under the influence in late 2017.

He also has pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment in a child neglect case and was sentenced to a year of probation, court records show. A domestic violence case was dismissed by prosecutors in 2016.



Chances are his family are now rethinking this whole open borders ideology.

Being a legal or illegal resident has nothing to do with the fact that the one responsible was a drunk driver. That's about equivalent to saying a Highland Park resident is less likely to be a drunk driver than a Preston Hollow resident. Drunk drivers come in all nationalities and colors,religions and/or body weights.
