1. what is happening with the UPS site?
2. What about the state seizing control of PHL somehow? I know that a few years back they tried to buy it from the city, but today a source told me he thought it could play out differently, whereby the FAA would take control, and a ports authority would be created. What? Is this possible?

1 - One of the proposed changes to the runway configuration would put a new east-west runway right on top of the current UPS facility.

2 - Don't know of any civilian airport under direct federal control (again, someone correct me if I'm wrong). As for the state - don't know.

I neglected to mention the greater number of Dash8's we were flying when the planning, approval, funding process for 8/26 was going on.
