They've got a fantastic new lead singer. I've heard a couple of tracks and they sound real good...CHECK IT OUT!

I used to like them, but if Walmart is the sole source for their CD, I guess I won't be buying it.

What's your beef with WalMart? I'm not a big fan of the store myself, but it's all about THE MUSIC, I don't care where I buy it!

BTW, The Eagles new CD was exclusive to WalMart as well and it was phenomenally successful!

My beef with Walmart is that they pretty much are responsible for the lack of quality in products, and a big reason many jobs have been offshored. I'm sure that the Eagles CD was successful...there are still a lot of folks who don't realize the negative impact Walmart has had on this country.

FYI: Journey will be appearing on ELLEN, Wednesday, May28th. Check your local listings.

Not to mention their stores are cluttered and nasty, and they have terrible customer service. People brag about their prices, but things are the same price at Target, which is a much better experience.

🙄 Oh for cryin' out loud guys....quit you're WHINING...we're talking about a friggin CD here...geesh. If you don't like to shop at WalMart, then buy the new Journey CD at the band's official site and get a bonus tour tee shirt for just $9.00 more!

Later!

Those who are talking about Wal-Mart are missing the point. Wal-Mart has been made the distributor for the CD. Why? Because bands like Journey do not want to be controlled by the major record companies. It is a sound business move. Remember the reason Journey is still around is because of "brand" success. Ever wonder why more groups are returning to the stage after long hiatus periods? You guessed it, $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.......SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!!!!

Inany event, I was at the taping of the new CD and the new lead singer emulates Perry in many ways. I just hope he has a good enough agent to negotiate a good deal for the long term. I am guessing Augeri left because of money! Its a dog eat dog world these days !

Journey....keep on rockin!!!

WOW, you actually visited The Plant studio in Sausilito, while Journey was recording Revelation? Who the hell do you know??
Anyway, I bought Revelation yesterday and the new material is sensational! This is absolutely the BEST Journey albun since Frontiers and I do believe this will be the CD that all music fans will be abuzz about this summer...Arnel Pineda is phenomenal!

BTW, Steve AUGERI had to resign in 2006 due to chronic vocal problems unfortunately...in other words..he blew out his voice. Jeff Scott Soto did a tremendous job stepping up to the plate at the last minute during the Def Leppard tour, but in the end the band decided Jeff wasn't the right fit for Journey. The band took a year off the road and continued to write, but were getting frustrated that they didn't have a lead singer, until Neal stumbled upon Arnel on youtube. The rest is history.

Ahhhh, my apology for the previous info. I was at LAS for the DVD taping concert on Mar 8. I just received my copy of Revelation and I am very disappointed with the quality of the DVD production. Journey's 2001 DVD is much better quality production than this one. If I were Neal Schon, I would be p.o'd to say the least! Journey is a good brand product with exceptional talent. I am quite surprised the R&R Hall hasnt inducted the band yet. I would like to know what their gripe is and whay they won't induct. I have followed this band since their first album and will continue to the end. If you havent seen them live, I strongly suggest it.

The Revelation DVD is meant to be exactly what it is..LIVE, RAW Journey! The 2001 DVD, although very good, was doctored up in the studio and actually over produced.

My issue with the newd DVD is the camera work. Looks amateurish to say the least. Not only that, there were tech problems at the event which forced the band and re-perform 4 cuts. Not that I minded, but I think a better job could have been done.
