Who will run?

Any hints or rumor of who will run for office in PHL? I know Andy P. is running for LECP. Any one else hear anything?

Before this thread even gets going I would ask we not turn this into Jerry Springer show. I think we should wait until Jan 11th to see who will be on the ballot. I am sure all the candidates will run a professional campaign focused on the issues rather than jump seat gossip. 😉
After what PHL has been through with the dictator that would not leave gracefully and the remaining officers having to activate the self destruct to get her out, I think we need to focus our attention on the issues.

I agree but if done in taste this forum can be helpful in getting to know who want's to be involved and what they stand for...if used like adults, that want to be informed this media is one way we can all be in the loop...I feel we need experence and passion that only TG can offer, I see AP is running feel he has the passion but need's to learn the ropes from the inside out...as long as TG can pass the experence to others we will be back on track.

It's all simply personal opinion here but I think an AP and TG combo would rock the house. We'd certainly be in capable hands IMHO. Now hopefully I can get my ballot in the mail.

Terry aka "BajaBabe" The arsonic you gargled with was mixed by yourself. I would no sooner vote for you than I would have for Al Gore when he tried to distance himself from Clinton, (you know the Cigar's and BJ's).

I will not vote for anyone who has previously held a position in Local 70.
It is truly time for new leadership that have integrity, honesty and the best interest of the Flight Attendants at heart.

I sincerely hope that at least two people run for every elected position and that the turn out for the vote is in the 80% range.

Leadership is required and it's time for someone to steps up.

Those elected should be:

Morally & Ethicly above reproach. I order to assinate someone's character that person has to provide a target. Strong morals and ethics make that harder to do.

Must consider the needs of the entire group not just those who are most senior or blockholders. The strength of a union is only as good as the weakest member. Dividig internally is a sure perscription for failure.

Must be open and accessable. Leave your personal vendettas and agendas at home and support your members openly and directly

Communicate early and often. Your biggest compliant should be "Geez my damn inbox is flooded with AFA stuff"

Get in there and fight for your people. If you lack experience?? Get Some? Even George Foreman had a first fight.

And above all, STOP FIGHTING AMOUNG YOURSELVES. News Flash some people are A-Holes and you have to work with them to achieve the greater good. So put on yur foul proof cup, lace up the gloves, put in your mouthpiece, STFU and get in the ring and throw a punch in anger for crissakes.
