Well this is a interesting response with a interesting senario. So you are saying Sonny Hall was a honest Honerable leader and feel quite comfortable to quote him ?

Well first of all I'm not saying that Sonny Hall is either honest or honorable but sure, I feel comfortable qouting him. Quoting doesnt mean that you put credance to the qoute, it places the statement with a person, then you weigh what is said by who said it.

Do you honestly believe it was the "other locals" presidents Decision to remove you guys?

No, they dont have the authority, but I would say that a few were supportive of the decision, even a few of our board memebers were.

Well if you go by the depostions Gless blamed Little, Little blamed Gless and Sonny and Sonny seemed clueless, testifying one thing, writing another.

As far as the one local thing i would say from my experience of working there many years that the membership of 514 would not allow that.

I've never heard of any Local that refused to up their membership by 70%.

They would get to vote on that wouldnt they?

Maybe, maybe not.The fact is that we share a contract, do you know of any other TWU members other than AA where several Locals share a contract?

Although the union therory is one for all and all for one the local presidents responsibility is to look out for the local memberships interest their issues etc. that is who they represent.

Not according to the Internationals interpretation of the Constitution. According to them the President takes an oath to the International, not to the members, in fact should the President claim that the members come first the International considers that to be a violation of his oath of office.

Well, now we know that Burchette will no longer be President, do we know who is running for the Position? Elections are scheduled for June of this year. Can anyone with knowledge let the rest of us shlubs know who is the frontrunner for the position? Is the rumor true, Burchette was told by the current VP he was going to be running for President and Burchette knew he could not win?

Anyone know if Kevin Creaser is going to be running for Local 514 President? I have heard his name mentioned as a candidate?

If we elect anyone who had anything to do with promoting the 2003 concessionary contract we are going backward.

Remember your paid representatives sold you out and intimidated a scared membership into accepting the contract. How many elections have you heard of where the membership members were allowed to change their vote and do it as many times as they wanted. Are you sure your vote was not changed?
