Why Don't Ceo's Share The Pain Of Employees?

Obviously, the guy is a pinko-commie, who if things continue as they are, will be scheduled for re-education.

As for this...

"Please do not think this is a private matter between the corporations and their workers. More than a few capitalists' idea of the perfect arrangement is that they are free to privatize all profits and to socialize all liabilities."

...that is a pretty fair definition of fascism.

iti s very true that bush admin dont care about the working people who have suffered a hell of a lot! may be he and the ceos of the working corporate america ought to spend a yr or more in prison and have their monies wiped out and given to all the hard working american workers!!!

I guess I'll see him in class then. Renegging on pensions should be like renegging on a loan. Call 'em first in line creditors. It aught to be illegal to default on pension obligations, and I hope the government will realize this. Maybe they will take notice when enough people get tired of seeing their tax dollars are going to some one they could care less about.

Lifes a ####, get helmet.

Yes, but it would be nice to see at least some governmental interest in the pension scam that's going on. My apologies to you guys who are stills in this industry... YIKES!

Because they don't have to. They have the money and power and they make the rules. They have friends in high places. Their buddies are members of the BOD. They are protected by the government and you're not.

What a dumb question.

Thanks for providing an example.
You know what, the airlines provided a pension as a benifit when some people were hired. They agreed to the terms of employment, based on what they wanted for a job. Most people would like some type of life after their working life. People plan and count on this benifit because it was an agreement at the time they agreed to take the job. If a pension wasnt provided at one airline, then they could chose to be employed by one that does. Its a waste of ones time, we're talking decades, working under the belief that a stated benifit worth enough to support a retirement will be provided, and to not get what was promised after all that time. You cant get that time back and start somewhere else. It's fraud.
By the way, thanks for your tax dollars to support some resemblance of a retirement. SH*T HAPPENS indeed.
