True, back in 1997.

SWA has apparently concluded that there is insufficient market demand to justify DAL-JAN and DAL-BHM non-stops.

That same Shelby Amendment still allows SWA to sell seats from DAL to JAN/BHM via through-ticketing, and either a stop or connection in HOU, so there is service. Previously, SWA couldn't do that.

Prediction: One day, after Wright goes away, you're quite likely to see DAL-JAN and DAL-BHM non-stops that continue on either to Florida or east coast destinations.
