wn employees ..... We''ve kind of lost the family feeling.

This IBD article is pretty much a rehash of the 7/11 WSJ artuicle that has already been discussed on another thread.
Aren't the two publications owned by the same parent co.?

Seems to me that Marilyn Alva [the writer of this article] needs to brush up on her knowledge of the airline industry. She states that Usairways is still in bankrupcy as of July 25,03...Makes a person wonder about the rest of her article.

That's right! She does'nt know what she is talking about. All Southwest employees are very happy working here. Everyone wishes that they could work for Southwest Airlines. She is probably just jealous because she can't get a job here.

WNforlife: You are so effing transparent that no one here falls for your weak little rabble-rousing scheme. Why don't you just give up?

Just got back from a trip to MSY via TUL and HOU. Without exception, on all flights, FA's were professional, still cleaning the cabins, and hadn't lost their sense of humor. Yes, there were reports of pickets at DAL and elsewhere around the system - so the public is becoming aware that the FA's have issues. But the FA's are NOT taking it out on the customers in the form of CHAOS(tm) or sickouts. I did notice that on a couple of the flights, the FA asked that if there was anything in the seatback pocket to please remove it and hand it to the flight attendants when they came by with the trash bag. I visited with one of the pilots on the ground in TUL and he had mentioned that even though the FA's have issues, they are still glad they are employed by SWA and not one of their competitors. Here's to the FA's getting a contract that is good for everyone.
