Newsmax has picked Donald Trump as moderator for the Dec 27 GOP presidential canidates debate? I guess Bozo the Clown was not avaliable. In a related story Ron Paul and John Huntsman bowed out of the debate out citing concerns over Trump moderating. Finally something I can agree with Ron Paul about.

I would think the RNC would be concerned with credibility. At least get a journalist with some integrity (hard but possible). Trump is a.side show act who likes to be the center of attention. The candidates are the issue, not Trump.

I guess given the candidates its not to big of a deal. So far they are all like NK rockets. Big fire at lift off and splash down short. Just saw a GOP house rep say he worked under Gingrich and he lacked leadership ability. OUCH!

I guess it will keep the comedians busy.

Everybody knows that Paul has made bids for the presidency three times — as a Libertarian in 1988 and as a Republican in 2008 and this time around. And everybody knows he lost the first two.

Everybody knows that Paul has moved into second place behind Newt Gingrich in the Des Moines Register's most recent Iowa poll — following Herman Cain's decision to suspend his campaign.

And everybody knows that Paul favors low taxes, free markets and commodity-backed currency. Ron Paul has been Ron Paul for a long time.

But not everyone knows that Ron Paul is now selling a family cookbook on his campaign website or that he was a track star in college — he ran a mean 220-yard dash. And here are five other things that might surprise you about Paul.
