Can't argue with a 56 million dollar loss for one month. Figure by years end UAL will be what, a close total to 650+ million loss for the year. Remember the next few months are going to be a killer for everyone. Some (UAL) will feel the heat more than others (F9). Whats your break even load factor? Is it still 90 to 95%? You won't be seeing those 80% load factors in the next two months.

I guess you losing 56 million still puts you in a better financial situation than F9 (NOT).
The pain hasn't subsided at UAL yet . When things really get rolling and your management gets off their A$$, they'll be coming for more pay conssesion. Just like USAIR! :blink: You started the gloating I hope you can handle the ribbing!

I never implied that, but we will be the 1st quarter of next year. We do VERY well during the holiday season on into Speing Break!

Well, regardless of who posts where, no way UA is going to attract exit financing after losing $50+ mil in what should have been a relatively strong month. We're still looking at probably a $300-$400 mil/year money losing operation. And, this is with UA is Chapter 11 avoiding some rather large payments. You'll be ok as long as the judge doesn't allow creditors to submit their own reorganization plans. At some point, though, the judge will no longer extend the period of exclusivity and management could lose all control over what happens.

An example of providing good insight with your post, from an F9er point of view, would be C54Capt. He is able to explain and articulate quite clearly his perspective regarding the good competition between UA and F9 without bantering on constantly about the demise of UA.
