A woman in Boston attempts to ride the escalator while in her motorized wheelchair..(VIDEO) .. .Hey, lady, take the elevator!

Surveillance cameras in Boston caught a woman taking a nasty tumble after she tried to ride an escalator in her motorized wheelchair.

The fall happened at around 10 a.m. Friday, WHDH television reported.

The 56-year-old steered the chair to an up escalator at the Broadway T subway stop, but as it started to climb, she flipped backward and somersaulted down the stairs.

A good samaritan tried to help her, but tripped over the 250-pound scooter.

An MBTA worker eventually stopped the escalator, and the woman unbuckled herself from the chair and walked down to the platform.

The station said the woman wasn't hurt.

MBTA officials credited the quick save to the station's new security cameras, installed as part of a Department of Homeland Security anti-terrorism project.

Similar cameras are being installed at 15 other T stations across the city, the station said.

Some riders have complained that the new cameras were an invasion of privacy

Escalators are dangerous and Darwin lives there. People let their children ride it like a carnival ride, until the escalator becomes a kid-eating escalator, like Charlie Brown's kite eating tree. A feeble old man with a larger than life luggage was taking the escalator and I pointed that he should take the elevator. Stubborness led to his fall and lucky I prepared to push the E button.

Now you got these scooter riders who think they have rights to drive in busy roads. Yes folks we truly empowered the stupid, but lucky for them we are a litigation nation run by lawyers willing to sue on behalf of their stupidity.

If you don't get it...you will!

Well ol' southwind Won't encounter those problems. Escalators/elevators probably haven't 'appeared' down his way Yet !

Yes they are. Stopped a lady with a stroller the other day, and suggested she use the elevator instead. BTW, the elevator in question is *right next* to the escalator...

Up escalator, down escalator and elevator in the middle. Regular stairs next to escalators. Wrong end, you'd be surprise the people who won't take the stairs, by-pass the elevators and go to the escalator they want...only to find it broke down!

It wouldn't surprise me if it were a government subsidized wheelchair to ride the government subsidized & operated transit system. Probably going to a government job from government subsidized housing...

Paid for by people who actually work for a paycheck. And this Lady is stupid? Got herself a potential lawsuit AND maybe a good disability check. Life in Barackistan sure is good.

"Former Rep. Jesse L. Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) will plead guilty to conspiring with his wife to illegally spend $750,000 in campaign funds on personal expenses, including a $43,000 Rolex watch, fur coats and memorabilia associated with Michael Jackson, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X and Bruce Lee, according to information obtained by POLITICO.
The charges against him include conspiracy, making false statements, and mail and wire fraud.

Prosecutors will recommend a prison sentence of between 46 months and 57 months for Jackson Jr., as well as a fine of $10,000 to $100,000, and forfeiture of a yet-to-be-determined portion of the misspent $750,000 in campaign funds...."

"...The $750,000 in alleged misspent campaign funds included thousands of individual transactions that ranged fromairplane tickets, booze and cigars to groceries.
Jackson Jr. repeatedly used campaign funds to pay down the couple’s credit-card balances. In one instance, Jackson Jr.’s campaign paid Sandi Jackson’s business $36,000 for “billboard expenses.” A week later, prosecutors say, Sandi Jackson transferred the same amount from her business to the Jacksons’ personal account, from which it was used to pay down personal debts.
The Jacksons used campaign funds to cover even the most basic of necessities, including cleaning supplies, bathrobes, underwear, toilet paper, toothpaste, soap, vitamins and stuffed animals, among other things, according to prosecutors. They also spent freely on luxuries, including home electronics, a trip to a Martha’s Vineyard spa for a member of Sandi Jackson’s family, Walt Disney World transportation services and charges of more than $4,000 on a 2006 cruise, court documents."

What a POS.

I read that. How on earth does someone think they are going to get away with stealing $750k? It's like all these politicians cheating on their spouses. .Why do they think no one will get caught? The height of arrogance and ignorance
