Numerous republicans have said from day one that their only goal was to make Obama a 1 term president.  Some were eve saying this before he took office.  The GOP was seeking to completely dismantle and defund AHC.  They were not seeking a delay.  You can spin it all you want but the public knows that the GOP shut it down just like they did the last time.

Politics is all about the rhetoric.

If were are going to slice hairs that way then lets apply that to all politicians,  JFK had nothing to do with the Bay of Pigs or getting the nukes out of Cuba, Nixon had nothing to do with opening up relations with China, Carter had nothing to do with the Hostage debacle, Reagan had nothing to do with the fall of Russia, ..... etc.

Obama was the head of state and he gave the go ahead to execute the strike.  Like it or not he gets the credit just like other Presidents got credit for things that occurred during their watch.

Just curious, but how many of those missions you mentioned were started under the preceding Administration? Certainly, the manhunt for OBL had been going on for years. Go watch the movie "O Dark Thirty" sometime.

Bay of Pigs? Hostage standoff? All started and essentially ended under the same Administration.

Bay of Pigs was an offensive mission, and those don't just get planned for gits and shiggles.

Keep the deflections coming, but I'd expect that the outcome in November will still be the same: it's the GOP's game to lose, and the Dems have a pretty big hole to dig out from.

Bush stated that he was no longer concerned with Bin Ladin in 2006.  Does not matter how many missions were launched under the preceding administration.  Only one of the missions was successful.  I tend to take movies created to make money at the box office with grain of salt.

What does the duration of the event have to do with your original thesis?  Your point was that Obama had nothing to do with the killing of Bin Ladin.  Continuing that line of thought means that the other Presidents also had nothing to do with the various accomplishments during their administration.

I don't know if Obama made it a point to the military and spy agencies that he wanted Bin Ladin dead.  I do not know if Bush made that comment to give a false sense of security to Bin Ladin.

The hit against Bin Ladin was offensive as well.  Not sure what that has to do with anything.

The results of the 2014 election also have little to do with what you were saying.  The GOP may very well win some seats.  Fact still remains that they shut the government down.  They tied the debt limit to ACH.  If the GOP can marginalize the Tea Party and get back to their conservative roots the GOP might have a chance of surviving.  The TP is sinking them.  The youth of America are not socially conservative and do not care about those issues.  GOP needs to figure that out.

The GOP has managed to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory for the last several elections.  I am not so sure they will not be able to accomplish it again.

Ever think Bush was saying that to get Al Quieda to drop their guard if " no body was looking "??

Too far beyond your widdle comprehension Tree?

Oh but Bush said it......

Only a fool would expect women to vote for Hillary just because she's a woman.

By the same logic, McCain-Palin should have been a landslide because of a woman on the ticket.
I won some bets with Mondale-Ferraro, because many women believed the women would have voted for women. To men's advantage, women are more judgmental of women than anybody else. They won't admit it, but the end will justify the means!

And like the narcissistic chooch that he is......he takes sole credit for it.

Zero dark thirty puts it into perspective as to who did real work.

Democrats Running away from Obama

With the 2014 midterms nearing, Democrats are wary of hitting the campaign trail with President Obama. A group ranging from first-time candidates to longtime incumbents has distanced itself from the White House’s unpopular policies.
