So I see they are moving the 737 B-Check out of DFW and moving it to SFO. So how many are getting RIF'd in DFW and how many getting recalled to SFO???

One of the most difficult challenges we face in Line Maintenance is the constant shifting of resources to meet non-scheduled maintenance, such as our MELs. We have examined ways to meet this challenge and have determined to shift some scheduled maintenance activities in order to simplify our operations in large hub stations. This will allow a greater emphasis on overnight maintenance and addressing our problem MELs, SICs, and other non-routine items. These need to be our focus.
The simplification process will begin by moving a B737 B-check line from DFW to SFO. This change will be effective on Tuesday, October 4, 2011. This move frees up DFW AMTs to concentrate on MELs and other overnight maintenance, which should prove very beneficial to our mission of providing safe, dependable aircraft to our customers on a timely basis. DFW is the largest Class I line station that we have. It gives us the ability to provide maintenance on the largest number of overnight aircraft in our system and have a significant impact upon the operation. SFO has appropriate ground time access to the B737 and the hangar facilities needed for a B-check. With a few adjustments, it has the capacity and the experience for this check.
Change is always difficult, but we have to remain adaptable in order to engage our people and resources in the most productive manner possible. I appreciate the efforts that DFW has done on this B-check, and I have every confidence in the ability of our DFW team to make a significant difference on our overnight maintenance.

I doubt Gary will take this laying down...It's just a in your face, on your watch deal....by the company. It just shows the ARROGAANT attitude is still flying high...

AMFA @ NWA proved to us that the Airlines have weapons too.
More so with weak Industrial Union Contract Language that has been written by the company for 40+ years

The 757 Heavy C check outsource from Tulsa and the move of MOC is just another example.
What most don't seem to understand is that AMT's becoming more militant while working under weak contract language is nothing short of holding a gun to your own head and proclaiming "One more step and Stupid Gets It"
