The 9% is just the tip of the ice-berg. DL will be back for more "bankruptcy judge imposed pay cuts." Even more scary is the option to outsource all below-wing jobs..

Rumor is that of the 9,000 layoffs: 2,000 from Tech Ops and the majority of the rest from the ramp (most likely at smaller stations)..

correct me if I'm wrong but I believe DL got rid of its ramp agents at all but the top 20 or 30 stations during the mid-90s round of cutbacks. I have seen contract ramp in most small stations for a long time.

DL ramp, ticket counter, gates, and reservations agents are all on same pay scale some small stations are contracted out but not many most are small station are work by regional carrier skywest, comair, asa

dl csr top out at 3350 mo before the 9%

Our top out pay before the 9% was $3,340.80 per month and as of 11/10/05 it is $3,040.12 per month..Only Airtran CSA agents are paid less then us, highest paid top out is Southwest..

Top out for Domestic Res agents is now $2,898.44 per month and International Res Agents is now $3,040.12 per month in the Res office, again Southwest is the highest paid..

During a period in our history called 7.5 the smaller stations ramp operations were outsourced...recently an additional 8 or 9 stations were announced to be cutting ramp ops and going contract..I know PBI, MIA, SFO, DFW and PHX were announced, cant think of the others...MIA ramp ops contract was awarded to Comair and PBI ramp ops was awarded to ASMO based in MIA...Those changes take effect Feb 1, 2006

Well....................

I've heard that also. Don't think that will ever happen.
But nWA CSA arae now down to $16.50/hr. And pay quite a bit to fly on their own aircraft.

How much does your company contribute to a 401k and do you have a pension? how much vacation does the topped out person get? Do you get paid sick days? How many holidays?

At the IAM US AIRWAYS the ramp top out is making $15.60 or $17.00 even, depending on hub or non hub. Unpaid sick days, 5 holidays and 4 week vacation. The pension is the worst as the company makes contributions of less than 3% of pay...and no 401k. Most stations contracted out and the workers get to pay $500 a year for that in the form of dues!

regards,

thanks dude.

BTW, do you get shift differ? Overtime pay at double time? Profit sharing? 1/5 Overtime if you work a holiday? At US AIRWAYS, the answer is no to all of the above, however, the workers get the privilige of paying $500 a year for it. BTW, how many stations do you have rampers. I believe DL ORD is contracted out in February? US AIRWAYS went from 8500 ramp workers down to 3900...the IAM sucks and contracted out most of the jobs. Even almost half of the 3900 are contracted out at a lower wage but they still get to pay dues.

The iam didn't do anything, two trips to bankruptcy and the greatest oppurtunity for airline management ever did.

> BTW, do you get shift differ?
Yes

> Overtime pay at double time?
First 4 is *1.5, after that *2

> Profit sharing?
No. Well, sort of. A small bonus if they make goals.
( I think they spelled bonus as one word)

> 1/5 Overtime if you work a holiday?
8 hrs *2.5

Not sure. Call in show on Monday, should learn something then.
