UAL is playing hardball it is time for the Teamsters to do the same. UAL asked for mediation for one almagamated contract shore they want us to vote on a contract with the weak Continental mechanics. If the Teamsters don't say no we will agree to mediation to negociate UAL mechanics contract then you no their crooked and we have to vote them out sign an IAM card as soon as possible. We don't want them to negociate for us.

It seems to me if we could vote in the IAM just for the merge we would be in better shape. Continental is running the airline so when it comes time for the merge management will favor the continental employees, as far as merging, either by dovetail, or by seniority.... The old United has the numbers we just don't have the company backing. Just like the TV show Survivor you need a strong alliance, or you just need the numbers. After the merge we could vote the Teamster's back in. I know it won't happen, just a thought.
