Help with a dilemma over a part time job

Hello, I am in the process of a back ground check , they said 4 to 6 weeks , I am in week 3 of the wait .

I've been offered a part time job with another job in the mean time and it's supposed to start tomorrow night. I got this offer while waiting for SWA because I can really use income while waiting (right now I am unemployed ).

If I start tomorrow night will it hurt my background check ?

To some employers, the fact that you are working at A job while waiting for THE job is a plus.  It shows that you are not afraid of work.

What Jim said -- working something in the interim likely won't be frowned upon.

Keep in mind the background check is aimed at seeing if you've done anything exceptionally bad that would exclude you from getting an airport security clearance and/or for handling money, people's baggage, company assets, etc...
