HND-JFK Cancel

Just read an email from AA stating that they are
again temporary canceling JFK HND. The email
did not say when or if the flight is coming back.

I saw that too. I was supposed to fly it next month but now it looks like I will only get to fly one trip before the 8th. I will be using PVD's so now it looks like I will have a couple of weeks off in May. Oh well.

HND has been a huge bait and switch... US airlines esp. were promised greater access to Tokyo via HND but with slots that are economically useless. JAL pulled down alot of capacity at NRT in anticipation of a better balance of local/flow revenue out of HND.
Right now, no airline can afford to be flying developmental routes with fuel at current levels.

When the Japanese are willing to offer commercially viable slot times, the routes have a reasonable chance of working.
