I really don't think disasters should be politicized, and I have family in Houston. But not that long ago several Texas politicians, including our current energy secretary, were so upset with the "Taxed Enough Already" socialist Obama administration that they had floated the word "secession" a time or two. Houstonians should breathe a sigh of relief that none of those politicians actually followed thru with that talk. But, had they done that, we'd still help - we'd just chalk it up as "foreign aid".
Well Bears, one thing is certain! You, or your family, don't live in Texas. You want to politicise a tragedy? We were AGAINST Government HANDOUTS, before we're (now) FOR THEM !
Don't be so smart, Bears. No, Texas can not secede from the Union. (We had some unpleasantness back in the 1860's which settled that point.) However, you are evidently not aware that when Texas became a state, it reserved the right to split itself into 5 states at any time.PRICELESS, KCF.
Foreign aid, like in, TEX ARSE is a Foreign Country !!!!!!!!
It is spelled politicize. If you are going to exhibit faux rage at least use spellcheck.of course we're going to politicise it! why not?
I really don't think disasters should be politicized,
That is a fine example of talking out of both sides of your mouth KCFlyer. But not that long ago several Texas politicians, including our current energy secretary, were so upset with the "Taxed Enough Already" socialist Obama administration that they had floated the word "secession" a time or two.
Whatever you say.it wasntt faux rage; it was sarcasm.
It is spelled politicize. If you are going to exhibit faux rage at least use spellcheck.
Why not indeed. The left never wastes an opportunity to use a tragedy to push an agenda.
and then
That is a fine example of talking out of both sides of your mouth KCFlyer.
At least you spelled politicized right. Take notes Contra Mundum.
It is spelled politicize. If you are going to exhibit faux rage at least use spellcheck.
.
No. I said rage and I meant rage.It is faux outrage, Mr. ESL certificate holder.
You know...Ted Cruz and several other Texas representatives voted AGAINST aid for Sandy because it contained about a million dollars worth of "pork". They were making a statement. Back in the Obama years, when times were good and there were no disasters on the horizon. Texas politicians floated "secession" to express their disgust with the sitting president, Obama. Back then, the right found never ending sources of things to ***** about and tragedies to politicize for the sake of pushing a narrative. Now these are the guys talking about aid for Houston - WHICH HOUSTON AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS NEED AND DESERVE. Politicizing this is saying we should withhold aid because their senators and representatives were total jerks during Sandy.I believe what we are seeing is a leftist finding never ending sources of things to ***** about and tragedies to politicize for the sake of pushing a narrative.
It would not surprise me if Contra Mundum was an Antifa weekend warrior.
Class dismissed.
