Here's a thread for the various letters from individuals to the bankruptcy judge:

#292 Dear Judge: Dismiss the bankruptcy case; http://www.amrcaseinfo.com/pdflib/292_15463.pdf (only mildly incoherent)

#293 Dear Judge: Please establish a shareholders' committee; http://www.amrcaseinfo.com/pdflib/293_15463.pdf (owned AMR on margin)

#520 Dear Judge (and Tom Horton): My pension is in jeopardy and nobody represents the retired employees; http://www.amrcaseinfo.com/pdflib/520_15463.pdf

#556 Dear Judge: I've been on a LOA and AA won't pay me - help; http://www.amrcaseinfo.com/pdflib/556_15463.pdf (Connie from payroll won't help)

#558 Dear Judge: Please help save our AMR bonds that are in our IRA; http://www.amrcaseinfo.com/pdflib/558_15463.pdf (help us get our $142k back)

#565 Dear Judge: Please investigate various supervisors and TWU officials as I was harrassed at work and I sued AA when I was mentally disabled; http://www.amrcaseinfo.com/pdflib/565_15463.pdf (almost entirely incoherent)

No doubt there will be others who think mailing a letter to the judge will get the judge to intervene. I'll update with future letters.

Wow. People listing their home addresses, pay stubs, & cell phone numbers... I guess they've never fully realized what the term "public record" means. The LOA one is classic. She went on LOA before the paid holiday. Dumb move.

More letters filed today.

#593 Dear Judge: Don't let AMR cancel old stock - it's just a strategic ploy; http://www.amrcaseinfo.com/pdflib/593_15463.pdf (foolish "investor" who held AMR)

#594 Dear Judge: Here's a history of the mistreatment of the ex-TWA FAs by the APFA; http://www.amrcaseinfo.com/pdflib/594_15463.pdf

#595 Dear Judge: Request for relief from automatic stay to permit pro se lawsuit to proceed; http://www.amrcaseinfo.com/pdflib/595_15463.pdf

More employee numbers, home and cell phone numbers, etc.

My favorite is the Ex-TWA F/A who has a job with pay and benefits telling the judge that APFA is "mean"!!! Awesome, what a waste of time, stamp and paper! I forget how wonderful management is, thank god this person has fared so well with them. Was this the same management that failed to offer unlimited recall to ALL of the ex-TWA F/A's? Humm, just curious. In the end, it IS good reading. Thanks FWAAA for starting this thread, I for one appreciate it.

Personally, I 'feel' for all those being hosed.
Been there, done that, no T-shirt...
Not so much for people whom could have exercised their stocks or bonds but 'chose' to hang on.
The Market is a gamble, if you have a choice.
We at the Lazy'U didn't have that luxury or I would have dumped my shares at the peak instead of having State Street hold my shares to "ZERO", fiduciary duty and all...
Under our EFLOP, we did get some shares in the new UAL and I sold everything I had at $27 a share (first opportunity) and never been happier.
Good Luck to everyone!
From the Heart!

Management was nice to them??? It only took AA 8 yrs to recall them. APFA fought tooth and nail to get AA to extend the recall rights. AA could have done this with a strike of a pen. This guy needs to open his eyes if he thinks AA is his buddy. Wait until he sees what concession AA wants. Really??

APFA did nothing...WE BOUGHT the first extended recall with grievances that were worth a LOT of money. APFA allowed AA to hire the CMSs with an LOA out of seniority order. They wrote crappy language that CLEARLY states 200 will be returned to PAYROLL and now refuse to address the issue. AA had already publicly signed off on extended recall and to withdraw....don't think that would happen. And then there is the poll tax...lol

Since you bring it up the most, why don't you act on it? Sue AA/APFA to force them to recall the difference if you think they are wrong. I bet the money starts rolling in for that. Good luck with that, you'll need it.

Ok, go beat each other up somewhere else. You'd think you'd be tired of the same argument over and over again after ten years....

I expect a union to start acting like a union..doesn't affect me but does affect those not recalled.

The company and union agreed to a side letter of agreement to extend recall rights. Our contract stated only 5 years but there was a one time extension to a certain amount. Good old loving AA could have included many more F/As but they did not. Then to get more F/As the ability to keep their rights, APFA worked out a deal for the CM speakers (this was able to keep management positions off the airplane). Again AA could have included more F/As but no a chance. It always comes back to the fact that when dealing with AA management , the dealings are never easy and AA calls the shots. It sure is easy to sit behind a computer and point fingers at APFA and how awful they are but keep in the back of your head that AA is very very difficult in every sense of the word.

Since we all know it doesn't affect you, why do you keep bringing it up? Nothing has happened in regard to this alleged infraction. You have no skin in the game on that issue. Do you have nothing else going on in your life? Maybe your thoughts and efforts should be put into something useful, like preserving retirement benefits and retiree healthcare.

Don't use either...
It is interesting to see how fear has become palpable at AA, especially in the f/a ranks. Once an advocate, always an advocate.

feAAr? If you are talking about me, you are so wrong. I, unlike most, don't let stuff I have zero control over bother me. I will wait till the dust settles then make any decisions that need to be made. If you are always an advocate, then advocate. Otherwise you are just spouting hot air. Always talk and no action! You are the first to complain, yet the last to act!! No wonder TWA doesn't exist anymore with "leadership" like you. You did wonders for the F/A group, congratulations.
