Man escapes custody at airport, taken down by US Airways employees
PHOENIX - A man who was being extradited from Detroit to Phoenix managed to escape custody on the airport tarmac Thursday night.
Story here.
i just heard about this , PLEASE tell me it was fleet that got to take him down
They won't, they did their job, someone was on the ramp without proper ID. Part of training is to challenge someone without ID.Sad part is the two US Employees, while doing the right thing just might get sued. I wouldn't be even a little surprised.

For allegedly doing their job? Newsflash, escape was futile behind security. He never would have made it anywhere. Now how about providing proper compensation to them.
Sure. A&B's, Chairman's Award, and whatever else have you. We recently had two fleet service agents recognized and rewarded ($$), one for I believe putting out a piece of equipment that caught fire and the other who was able to stop a runaway tug that was on a collision course with an Airbus engine. Good guys. Now how about providing proper compensation to them.
Absoutely & a BIG thumbs up & great job.

Point of order:
Just because they did the right thing and should be complimented and rewarded. Even 100% right doesn't prevent the escapee from filing a lawsuit. It might be a worthless a roll of Charmin but it can focre the "The Good GUYs to incur legal fees.
