Talk about a day late and a dollar short. AMFA is really struggling to claim some type of victory in this fiasco. Granted here at DTW all the spots but one for the picket lines were totally inadequate for a picket line. The one that was decent was still shoved off to the side out of the way of the passengers unloading their vehicles. I do agree with AMFA on this one the local governments did handicap the striker’s picket lines effectiveness by shoving them off into the shadows. I do not think that better spots would have had any different effect on this strike but I do believe that their right to assemble and protest was indeed trampled on. The local governments should have to answer for denying these men and women their rights.
