Given the alliance with TWU what changes can we expect to representation at various stations? For example MIA will be a TWU station but who will represent and enforce the US IAM Fleet CBA? It's very unclear who will actually manage day to day representational activities and both unions have said their structures will not be changing as a result of this partnership.

That is the problem. They have not figured out the details. They want to move this thing quickly but do not know how to address the logistical issues. Two unions, two constitutions, Two CBA's, Two contractual work rules that conflict each other depending who you work under and which union is representing you. It is like a PC trying to work like a MAC and vise versa.

The links are very unclear. Yes they answer the questions but don't give concrete direct answers. The alliance is all about maintaining dues for the unions-rather than having a run-off and the winner takes all or better yet have new representation come in. US will be the smaller of the two groups, the AA Fleet and M&R have more members and the IAM has done such a sh*ty job over the past 12 years.

im just curious  do we really need this thread  when its in both the iam fleet and the iam mechanics and related thread?

josh  the past is the past    now its the present and with the iam sect 6 at an impasse  the mech. and the fsa  have the leverage  get over the past

We dont need this thread, the mods are the only one who can start a labor thread, it will be locked shortly.

And he only started it as flame bait as usual.

He is on an anti-IAM rampage on all threads this morning.

the TWU isn't going to win any popularity contests at AA they tend to make the IAM look good which is not easy at times.
