Slashing Airbus A320's

If the company is so worried about service they to take a long hard look at there own responsiblity. I just worked SAN-PHL 4+45 flight and NO FOOD, NO BOB, NO PEANUTS, NO Catering. so they want us to serve 3 services with NOTHING to serve. Let them get there catering and house in order before they come down on us on not doing procedure.

Rag,

are you taking about jetBlue or US Airways? SAN-PHL would be US Airways, hence your comment is in the wrong thread.

The passengers are buying transportation, not food... ;)

SO NO A320 deliveries in the year 2007-2009 all deliveries for 2007-2009 will be deferred or just 12 planes deferred 2007-2009 12 out of 40

That table is after the deferrals. So we'll be getting 40 A-320's from 2007 through 2009 (IOW, it used to be 52 deliveries in that time frame). The "we had" language that you highlighted is still valid after the April announcement, since the total number on order has not changed, only the time of delivery. Here's the table from the 2005 annual report, before the deferrals:

2006 16 19 35 -- -- 127
2007 17 18 35 -- -- 162
2008 17 18 35 02 -- 199
2009 18 18 36 02 -- 237
2010 18 18 36 02 -- 275
2011 12 03 15 09 15 314
2012 -- -- -- 20 18 352
2013 -- -- -- 15 18 385
2014 -- -- -- -- 18 403
2015 -- -- -- -- 18 421
2016 -- -- -- -- 13 434
---- 98 94 192 50 100

Here it is afterward:

2006 16 19 35 -- -- 127
2007 12 18 30 -- -- 157
2008 12 18 30 02 -- 189
2009 16 18 34 04 -- 227
2010 18 18 36 04 -- 267
2011 18 03 21 06 15 309
2012 06 -- 06 16 18 349
2013 -- -- -- 18 18 385
2014 -- -- -- -- 18 403
2015 -- -- -- -- 18 421
2016 -- -- -- -- 13 434
---- 98 94 192 50 100

It's a slowdown, not a cancellation. However, this table doesn't take into account the fact that 2 to 5 A-320's will be sold off this year, so the 16 2006 A-320 deliveries doesn't mean 16 net additional aircraft, but 11-14 net, which puts 2006 in line with expected 2007 and 2008 net add'l Airbi. Also, total number of aircraft will naturally be decreased a like amount, i.e. total aircraft at the end of this year will be 122 to 125.
