Soda And Commercial Flying

Hi guys! I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. It's nice to be on board.

I have dreamed of being a commercial pilot since childhood and my dreams have recently been crushed because I found out I had color vision problems and I can't pass the test. I am told that if I can pass a SODA, which basically means I can distinguish the operating lighs on the airport, that my night flying restriction will be removed. However, I am wondering if having the SODA on my record will reduce my chances of being hired by an airline. Or do they care at all as long as you meet the legal FAA requirements? Do any of you fly with a SODA or know an airline pilot that does? Any help you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,

Ryan
