To bad were not an automaker. The cash could be 100000 maybe. OOps their represented by the UAW.

Here at AFW on wednesday we heard around 210 were signed up system wide. I'm pretty sure after the MCI letter more people have signed up.

Maybe AA should add in a BBQ Sandwhich and bag a chips and see if more jump on the band wagon?

The carrot is so small, unless one were planning to leave in the next 12 months anyway, it is nothing to jump about.

What great management, let's give the folks that are leaving in the next 12 months anyway $30,000.00 and see if they will leave now. Superior first class leadership. Give 'em another multi-million dollar bonus before they leave for another airline.

If you are calling that thing we got a sandwich, you are incredibly generous.

That was a sloppy joe. (grin)

Anyone hearing any feedback about the number of takers anywhere in the system?

Close to 200 FSC's at DFW put in for it, however managment is only allowing so many to go. Same story with the agents as well. I've heard plenty of rumors as to why, but nothing confirmed. One reason may be the fact that of those 200 about 40 were crew chiefs, and they said the don't want to loose that many at once.

LGA had 20 senior clerks and 5 crew chiefs put in for it and they let a grand total of 2 crew chiefs go.

Meanwhile they're breaking the junior 4 F/T'ers to P/T and laying off about a dozen or so of the most junior P/T'ers.

Sure are saving a bundle laying off those guys that aren't at top pay while creating an orgy of OT for those that are at the top of scale...

Did they approve the 20 senior clerks?

The reason they cannot let everyone leave is because the entry pay level is so pathetic management cannot get replacements.

I figure the TWU could sign one of those secret letters of agreement to boost the entry pay. They seem to sign one for everything else management wants.

The entry pay level
the top out pay level
the 24-7 shifts
the holidays
the weekends

What a job the line should be out the door
