I recently booked a domestic roundtrip on the website. When I went to print the boarding passes using the locator, they would not print. Called the Chairman's desk and she cheerfully told me that the record locator was actually a completed different series of numbers. Claimed it was something to do with merging reservation systems. There was not indication of this anywhere on the website reservation.

Granted, I could have used the flight number, but most travelers using multiple flights etc use the locator to get the whole thing at once.

So, if the purpose of the website is to avoid more person to person calls....did not work.

Has anyone else had weird experiences like this that are just attributed to poor business rules?
