Asia's airports dominate the rankings, which Skytrax says is no surprise given that its airports benefit from 21st-century facilities. Perhaps not surprising, no U.S. airports cracked the top ten. In fact, they barely cracked the top 20. Minneapolis-St. Paul came in a No. 20 worldwide and No. 1 in North America, based on the aforementioned criteria.

Can you provide a source for this statement and a link to the entire article? And what are the criteria supporting these rankings? Thanks.

I would put the NWA World Gateway in Detroit ahead of any other North American airport.

Dude, they are talking about the AIRPORT.....not the AIRLINE!

I think the McNamara terminal qualifies as an airport or least the part the passengers care about.

read the posts a bit closer next time, dudette.

The Northwest WorldGateway Detroit is THE most advanced terminal in the country. It is sheer pleasure to travel through it. NWA pumps 650 flights a day through it and it is barely a blip on it's operational potentional.

I agree, DTW is a much better airport than MSP in my opinion. However, neither airport comes close to DEN for operational ease and many other criteria that is important to me (also my opinion).
