What's new

last time i checked USAIR became USAirways and no it didnt die die merged with HP in CH11

Hate to break it to anybody, but that smiling aircraft is one of the dumbest and ugliest aircraft I have ever seen.
It might have been ugly. But the marketing/branding of PSA that resulted from that ugly smile was certainly not dumb.

At last someone who kinda understands. I was voicing an opinion about the aircraft. If its marketing worked...at the time...it's not what I cared about!

I didn't know an opinion would widen wounds, but so be it. I find B6's Red Sox aircraft a bit inappropriate for NYS. Am I going to get heat from fans.

I just gave my opinion. I find a lot of US aircraft awesome, but that particular aircraft looks like a dumb smiling albatros.
No wounds here, I didn't work for PSA. The A/C is painted as the PSA ones were at the time of their merger into US. All of the heritage A/C are intended to bring back memories for passengers and employees who had ties to them. To this day I still feel that they should have done a Mohawk and an Empire reto A/C as well.

I know. I knew the head of OSHA in California and he said that every time someone from Asia or Europe wanted to come to California, they all wanted to fly on the airline with the smile. Dumb? maybe. Effective? Totally.

Marketing seems totally divorced from reality in your world so I can appreciate your complete retreat to fantasy.
