375 openings for f/a's in phl for june

Didn't I see that there were 90-some takers for the latest F/A volunteer thing-a-ma-bob. Add that to the number of F/A lines that will be added resulting from the pilot's bid - I posted the changes in pilot lines earlier - and don't you come close to the numbers of vacancies being discussed?

Yes you do. But why so many F/As, all of a sudden, needed in just PHL. That's about 10% of the total F/A population. And according to AFA only 40ish F/As from PHL are leaving....not 375

Hold on everyone! This is the total hiring, not just June. This is all AWA hiring, no US East. When the East does need people they will recall furloughed FAs.

250 is our usual for a year, we are behind in starting classes (waiting for a transition agreement) so we are already behind.

Thanks ETOPS1, I was told on the QT that there was going to be a recall of 400, but I had heard it was going to be in a couple of months.

That is truly awesome to be recalling on the EAST!!!!!

Everyone please take a deep breath. This is a US East announcement I am 100% sure of. There's supposed to be an announcement from Tempe Corp. HQ shortly so we will all wait and see.

Usually by the close of business on the East due to the stock market. I would guess within the next 10 minutes or so.
