767/A330 Maintenance

i just heard that US has canceld their maintenenace at ACE for A330 and 767 because they were getting them out late
and could be that they are coming back in house then i guess ??
anyone hear this ?

Who Knows, but ACE did SELL off LCC Stock at a Handsome Profit.

At the state of the airline briefing DP gave he said he was very happy with in-house maintenance at Pit and Charlotte and want's to bring more work in-house. Maybe this is the first step?

The company just spent a bunch of money wining and dining the exec's from El Salvadore. Doesn't sound like they are getting ready to dump them anytime soon.

ACE is the vendor maint. division of Air Canada. Up till now they were to be doing the heavy maint. on the 767 and A330 a/c's. They had a hard time meeting ETR's.
Taca in El Salvador didn't have anything to do with U's widebody fleet(767/A330).
With the summer sched. and increased demand for Europe service it is paramount that these a/c are returned to service on time.
Pit and Clt's heavy maint. dept's are beating sched.ETR's
Great job by the Maint. folks in those two bases!
