777 Measurements

I am a member of a Facebook page that builds flight simulators as a hobby.

A member made a request for a higher quality schematic (he can't see the measurements) of the 777 B cockpit layout and any further information that can be provided (measurement wise).

This is the picture he has.

This person is a real aviation enthusiast and I am asking for any documents you can LEGALLY share that contain cockpit measurements to assist him in his build.






These guys really do fantastic work. See some examples below.

Here is a pic, it looks pretty realistic but if you look close you can tell what you see in the window is computer generated.

Obviously these are extreme examples but I just wanted to show you how dedicated some of these builders are.

Anyway do what you can to help these guys because they really love aviation and it is a good thing to feed that passion.

You would need to request from Boeing for the Manufactures BluePrints for the 777 in question. Boeing will NOT just release something like this. The measurements you are looking for are not in any of the manuals that some may have access to.
It's not that nobody don't WANT to help, it's a matter of finding the prints. Pretty sure your folks have already tried looking for this info before. IMO it will be hard to get a hold of if not illegal. Try reaching out to Boeing, but I would be willing to bet they will say there is no way they can do that now days (post 9-11).

Good idea E. Didn't think about that, nor did I think there are already 777's in the boneyard already.
Question: Will the boneyards allow general public on property to conduct such measurements? IDK. Maybe if escorted huh? Worth a try LuLu...

Well this is just for someone on a community Facebook page. Not sure if I want to go through all that.

I will say I am very impressed at the engineering and ingenuity of these builders. They truly have a love of aviation and airport operations. I think it is a wonderful thing we live in a world where people have have the access to technology, economic opportunity, and education or access to information to build something like the simpits I posted above.

It's been a long time since I visited a boneyard, but it is possible... this was in the late 1990's at Mohave, and not in any way related to where I worked for at the time. They stopped doing informal tours, but if you contact the companies performing the scrapping or storage, you might be able to score something. Pima Air & Space Museum in Tucson still does tours last I heard. Not sure if they let you off the bus, and I seriously doubt you could crawl around.
