Fox is reporting that some passengers are reporting that the plane broke in two after overruning the runway and that 40+ are injured; BBC also reporting 40 injuries. From the WSJ:

An American spokesman said the plane, a Boeing 737-800, which is one of the airline's newest jet models, had 148 passengers aboard and six crew members. He said there were no fatalities, but a number of people were taken away from the scene for treatment. The flight was coming from Miami.

According to spokesman Tim Wagner, the plane's fuselage was cracked, its right engine broke off from the impact and the left main landing gear collapsed. The pilots weren't injured, according to the airline.

Engines detached (did what they were designed to do in this case) and fuselage in a couple of pieces..Yea, I'd say this is scrap now.

Tulsa engineering obtaining timbers, blue rug tape, and super glue for the field trip. will need landing gears removed and engines scrap up to be sent to overhaul and then put back on.
