Thats good to read that everyone was off safely!!!!!!
An American spokesman said the plane, a Boeing 737-800, which is one of the airline's newest jet models, had 148 passengers aboard and six crew members. He said there were no fatalities, but a number of people were taken away from the scene for treatment. The flight was coming from Miami.
According to spokesman Tim Wagner, the plane's fuselage was cracked, its right engine broke off from the impact and the left main landing gear collapsed. The pilots weren't injured, according to the airline.
That one ain't gonna be a field trip repair... Probably a little too late in the year for the hull insurance to push them to a 4Q09 profit.
