In a couple of weeks I will be travelling to Europe for my first International Flight. I done Canada numerous times, but never needed a passport til now. What are the meals like? What aircraft is prefered for the trip 767-300 or 777?

AA international is good, even in coach. It won't be the culinary experience of the year, but it's better than some other carriers I've flown (including BA...).

I prefer the 777, with the lone exception of those dreadful middle-middle seats in business class. The idea of 2-3-2 seating in a premium cabin just ain't right...

There's no in-seat entertainment in coach on the 767, which is a drag unless you happen to bring your own entertainment aboard (i.e DVD player, iPod, laptop).

If you do bring along a laptop, be aware that there are auto-style power ports in every third row or so in coach on either one, so choose your seats wisely. If you have a cigarette lighter style plug for your laptop, you're in business. You might also want to consider one of the 65W inverters for charging a cell phone or other device.

And don't forget to get the power adapters for your hotel room before leaving. I forgot on my last trip to France, and lucked out that someone had left one behind in the room. Otherwise, it would have been $20 or so to buy one at the hotel gift shop...

No in seat entertainment on the 767 - thats kinda ghetto.. I thought everyone had in seat entertainment on their wide bodies... Does that come in a 2 class or 3 class config..

I operate my laptop on a 75 watt inverter. As long as the inverter provides the same wattage as the computer power supply draws, it works fine. Be careful of blankets on those small inverters. They need free air for proper cooling.

I plan to leave my laptop home this trip, I am on Vacation. Work can wait, plus 1 less thing to lug around. I decided and booked Zurich over Frankfurt due to I want to see the Alps. I wanted to do Munich but that made for connecting in LHR which I want to avoid. Thanks for the advice.

If you like the Alps, consider the Glacier Express.

Thanks For the Idea! Its one I am going to do. I just bought 2 2GB memory Chips for my Digital Camera, that will be about 2,000 pictures plus I'll have the 256mb one as a back-up. I am starting to get abit anxious now. I wasn't too much. I got two books, Lonely Planet books that I have to start to read. I was gonna do everything on the fly, like I do most of my vacations. I planned one trip and it became more of a chore than a vacation. But this I think it would be wise to have some planning done beforehand. Again Thank You very Much!

Not as ghetto as UA's 747-400's in coach! THAT'S ghetto.... 😉

Correction... the 767's do have in-seat audio, but it might as well be no audio with the lame selections available. Intl config is two class J/Y.
