AMP Pilot Proposed Pay Rates

Click here to review the proposed rates

What's interesing in AMR's proposal to relax scope and create pay rates to fly RJs on the mainline. In addition to the layoffs, mainline positions are proposed to be transitioned to Express type positions.

That's a little misleading. With scope amended to allow up to 88 seats at affiliates and the banded mainline pay scales including the A319 (120-some seats), that leaves a narrow window for another mainline Gp 1 aircraft. The bigger E-jets and smaller C-series (plus Chinese/Russian counterparts) would fit in there but calling them an RJ is a misnomer.

Are the rj’s charts right for US

“The company’s proposal to eliminate the owned/non-owned commuter carrier distinction along with changing the definition of a Commuter Air Carrier”
One big happy family

I have no idea what you're asking. The AA pilot pay proposal doesn't include RJ's. There is a Gp 1 pay scale for undefined aircraft between 88 and 120ish seats that is roughly equal to the US E-190 rates (note that's not the ERJ-190 - Embraer didn't want the E-jets to be called "RJ's").

Oh, you weren't asking about RJ pay but the size of the potential US affiliated RJ fleet. Yep, without checking several concessionary LOA's it looks about right. Between Steven, Dave, and Lakefield the RJ fleet can be as big as the mainline fleet ever was and larger than the mainline fleet today.

And yet payrates that remain far above those at US (even West). With AA not trying to lower pilot pay to US levels, how will Parker be able to pay US pilots the AA pilot rates? From where will that money come? Doesn't look like AA is trying very hard to align its payscales to US payscales.

All of us should know what's going on in the industry; not just at our own respective carriers, but the competition as well. You should "GAF" because what happens there may, at some point, affect you.

AA Pay scale will stay higher for pilots and flight attendants even when you add the recent f/a TA.
