AA 's selling TW 767's to FEDEX?

 ----- Nancy, if indeed I have confused you with that another low life, I do apologize! I must have misunderstood the intent of your post! I had a curtain aa F/A in mind that takes pleasure in defaming other people's wifes, just because they formerly worked for TWA!----It seems we've worked five years for this company, and we're still getting bigoted remarks about our former employer! And Frankly it's getting a little old! Again when I put my foot in it, I do it good. But as far as that other party is concerned, my statements stand!

No problem. I am a retired former TWA f/a (retired with 35 years), left of liberal Dem, mother of many, now in mangt. for a Center for Independent Living and transplanted Cards fan (I used to be a f/a on the Royals charters). I'm sure there is something for just about anyone to take a shot at...lol I make no bones about how I feel the former TWA employees have been treated. Two great airlines, one great Company, only looked good on a hat. Too bad more didn't get the significance of parking a 777 nose to nose with our little 757. Looked like the shark and the fish. Yeah I know 9-11. And once again shame of AA for marching out that time and rime again.

GO CARDS!!!!!!!

GO CARDS!!!!!!!
😳 ------ Thank you Nancy! Your a gracious Lady! But did you hear this one? When Carty showed up for our "Introduction to aa" BBQ here at MCI, in his big shinny 777, aa's tow trackor brock down leaving Carty and Co. stranded on board! Well after about an hour delay, our TWA boys had to resurrect one of our old 747 tractors and tow them the rest of the way in to come nose to nose with our lowly 757! (The biggest Aircraft we could come up with at the time!) Will, the Mayor got tired of waiting and left. Only to deligate her dutys to a lowly concilmen! After the long delay, Carty exited the Aircraft to the amplified sounds of "The Theam to Star Wars!" What a crock!----- It was ironic to see aa's 777 being pulled into place by TWA!!!! 😛

Could all you kids who just can't play well together take your BS somewhere else? JesusHChrist. Sometimes you all make the posters on airliners.net look mature by comparison.

The horrific events of five years ago turned what looked like a good idea into a not so good idea and unfortunately, thousands of good people had to be thrown overboard. Can't you all just get over that and, in the words of the Stupid-Ass Democrats (sorry, Bears - not directed at you) MOVE ON already?

Isn't it time we just MOVE ON from the sadness that was TWA?

Easy for you to say. Your career is intact. Those whose lives are effected on a daily basis have had to move on (somewhat) to take care of their families but that doesn't negate the ongoing loss. Quite a few missed being able to retire off furlough by a few days/weeks. They will have nothing to show for 30 years of work. Even those with degrees, advanced degrees, and newly acquired degrees, had to start at the bottom of new jobs. The financial devastation has been all encompassing. Many with pre-existing medical issues have not been able to secure health insurance. From that there is no moving on...It is too easy to push this issue under the carpet. Because most of the AA employees never had the opportunity to work side by side with the former TWA employees, it is easy to dismiss us. When there is no face, and personal knowledge, it is easy and more comfortable to not be faced with the realities of the lies told by AA senior mangt. I don't doubt for a second that if tables were turned you all would be doing the same thing the TWA employees are doing...keeping the message alive.

<_< ----You know Nancy, as much of a tragity it is for David Diaz and his family, nothing was ever mentioned about the former TWA employees, who also took their lifes over this!!!------

<_< ----- Yep! "The silence is deafening!"!!! 😉 ---
I suppose you feel that it is the fault of AA, it's unions, and it's employees that an ex-twa F/A decided to take their own life. It is sad that this person decided to do this but to blame it on others is sick and a bunch of bull. People lose their jobs every day in this country; one has to live with it, move on, and get another job. There were many F/As (including nAAtives) at ALL the legacy carriers that lost their job. At EAL, there were several people who committed suicide. I also had a relative who worked in the airline industry who took their own life and it had absolutely nothing to do with aviation!

Do you know how many employee suicides there were after Eastern Airlines went under? And the Eastern people HAD NO WHERE TO GO AND TAKE ANY SENIORITY WITH THEM!

There are atrocities all over this world. there is sadness everyday. There are people losing there jobs every day.

TWA employees do not have the lock on misery.

All we have been hearing for the past five and a half years is how bad the TWA people were treated, how unfairly they were treated ,and all we AAers should put ourselves in their shoes!

WELL HAVE YOU TWAERS EVER PUT YOURSELVES IN OUR SHOES????????????????

AS OF 4/10/01, TWAERS NEVER SPENT A DAY AT AA BUT EXPECT FULL SENIORITY!! THIS SEEMS RATIONAL TO YOU?

AAERS WITH SENIORITY SUDDENTLY LOST THEIR VACATION PICKS AND SHIFTS AND DAYS OFF TO PEOPLE WHO NEVER DID A DAYS WORK FOR AA UNTIL 4/10....
BUT THIS IS OK TO THE SAD TWAERS WHO WERE SO MISTREATED.

HAVE YOU EVER SHED A TEAR FOR THE AAER WHO WAS DISPLACED BY A TWER?

<_< ---- It's sad whenever anyone feels there is no other way out except taking ones own life, no matter who you work for, or what the circumstances!---- aa! You keep talking about EAL. I can understand that seeing you originally came from there, but I don't see the similarities! EAL went Chapt.7, and was liquidated! Good thing? No! EAL was a class act! And but for a few greedy people, might still be flying today! TWA was purposely taken into Chapt.11, not Chapt.7! Was bought up by aa and it's employees were promised "fair" treatment! That promise was never kept! I don't know how old you are aa, but a good portion of these Girls were in their early to mid fifties, and some even older, when this happened. And spent a good portion of their life's working only as F/A's for TWA!------ Reality check here! With few, if any other skills, at their age, just "getting on with your life, and getting another job", just isn't that easy!---Sad, but some, thought it imposable!---- Now, Hopeless!--- I've always said I felt "fair" was some where between "Staple", and "Dovetail"! But your Union didn't even conceder that! It was, and is, all one way!---- As for me trying to put a Guilt trip on you, and your fellow F/A's? I don't have to do that! It's not on me! You have to live with it! My conscience is clear!--- 😉 At least regarding these matters!

Mr. Diaz was not a former TWA f/a. Please get your facts straight.

And that's what Kasher ruled:

100%, 25% or 4/10/01 seniority depending on your location.

I am well aware that Mr. Diaz was not a twa F/A. I was responding to mci transplant's comment about the twa suicides and how he said the silence was deafining.
